Why We Walk
We walk for the children.
We walk for the families.
We walk for the healing of our community.
Parental Alienation is a deeply damaging form of psychological manipulation in which one parent consciously or unconsciously turns a child against the other parent, often during or after separation or divorce.
The Harm: Child Abuse in Disguise
Parental Alienation isn’t simply “family conflict” — it is a form of emotional child abuse.
“The child’s psychological development is compromised… The alienated child loses the capacity to love and be loved.”
— Dr. Richard A. Warshak, clinical psychologist and leading expert in parental alienation
Short-term impacts on children:
• Anxiety, depression
• Withdrawal from previously loved activities
• Sudden hostility or fear toward one parent
• Confusion and guilt
• Loyalty conflicts and distorted thinking
Long-term impacts:
• Difficulty forming healthy relationships
• Poor self-esteem and trust issues
• Higher risk of depression, substance abuse, and self-harm
• Estrangement from both parents over time

Early Signs of Parental Alienation
• A child suddenly refuses contact with one parent without justification
• Use of adult language or legal phrases (“He abandoned us”) not typical for a child
• Unwarranted fear or hatred of one parent who previously had a loving relationship
• Child echoes the alienating parent’s views without personal reasoning
• No guilt about rejecting the parent
If you see these signs, speak up. Support early intervention.
What We’re Raising Awareness For
• To recognize Parental Alienation as emotional abuse
• To promote education and reform in family law and safeguarding services
• To empower children’s rights to love both parents, free from manipulation
• To support affected parents, carers, teachers, and professionals
• To show children: you are not alone, and the community cares
